For his talent and dedication in promoting Malay dance in Singapore, Osman was conferred the prestigious Singapore Youth Award (Service) in 1993, and the Young Artist Award in 1994 by the National Arts Council. One of his most acclaimed works was a Malay Royal wedding scene he choreographed for the Singapore Chinese Orchestra Concert “Zheng He-Admiral of the Seven Seas” at the Singapore Arts Festival 2005.
