ORKESTRA MELAYU SINGAPURA (OMS)

Mohd Jais graduated from the Defence School of Music, Melbourne, Australia and has a Licentiate Diploma in performance from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He has been Conductor of the Orkestra Melayu Singapura since 1995. He is also the Conductor of Orkestra Melayu Marsiling Singapura, an instructor for the Bukit Batok Malay Cultural Troupe and Gamelan Orchestra and regularly conducts workshops for members of local school bands.

Currently a Professional Musician in the Singapore Armed Forces Central Band, Jais also regularly upgrades himself by attending workshops locally and overseas, conducted by renowned band experts like M. Nonami, Dr Hardy Martens and David Bostock.
