PA YOUTH CHINESE ORCHESTRA (PAYCO)

In 1993, Seng Hong was presented the prestigious Young Artist Award by the Singapore National Arts Council and given a scholarship to attend an erhu course in Shanghai, China where he performed with the Shanghai National Orchestra at the Shanghai Festival. Since then, he has become an accomplished erhu musician. Besides performing overseas with the Singapore Chinese Orchestra, Seng Hong’s many achievements include leading the PAYCO to perform in Malaysia at the invitation of the High Commission of Singapore, and leading an ensemble of Chinese, Indian and Malay musicians from PA Talents in a performance at the United Nation’s Conference in India in 2004.
